SENSORCUFIT: Sensorization and digitization of existing machinery linked to a data and decision-making platform

The main objective of the SENSORECUFIT project is the creation of a prototype of a unique data collection and decision-making platform, which allows the automation of agricultural machinery through Artificial Intelligence powered by data collected from sensors installed on the machinery itself and from information received from external sources and sensors. This platform or data center will also be able to connect to other machines that are homologous and analogous to the prototype used in the project for its conceptualization, testing and construction.

The project is led by the Clúster INNOVI, , and in which the companies of the Clúster FEMAC, ESTEL, SL, together with con SAHER MAQUINARIA AGRÍCOLA SL, and the companies associated with the INNOVI cluster, RECAREDO MATA CASANOVAS S.A., Gala Media SL, and the CIT UP technology center, in addition to our participation as a collaborating partner.

How will we achieve it?

To carry out the SENSORECUFIT project, an intelligent and connected device will be built that allows its user to carry out phytosanitary treatments in the most optimal way possible, reducing the use of phytosanitary products, their drift and the environmental impact, achieving complete traceability of what is It has been carried out in the field and reducing the time spent on treatments with its corresponding fuel savings. The data collected will not only allow you to make better decisions in viticultural tasks, but also have a lot of information to develop economic plans for profitability, amortization and costs derived from downtime or poorly planned trips, for example.

To achieve this objective, the prototype phytosanitary recovery panel machine will be sensorized to ensure that the decision-making that affects the aforementioned is carried out automatically, with the operator's only concern being that of driving the tractor. This decision making will be based not only on the signals received by the sensors but also on the data obtained from the central data platform through other sources of information.

WORK PLAN

This project will investigate the feasibility of adapting existing agricultural machinery to incorporate a transversal and personalized data platform. This will allow you to have the necessary knowledge to scale to different types of machinery. The main objective of the SENSORECUFIT project, planned in 2 phases, is to investigate the potential of digital tools and industrial sensors to improve the effectiveness and traceability of phytosanitary application operations in vineyards. To achieve this vision, this project will use existing technologies (>TRL 6) developed for the agricultural industry (not exclusively, to achieve data recapture and automate agricultural machinery by feeding an algorithm that collects data from different sources.
