The Electric Pick and Track (EP&T) Project, which in Catalan means “electric picker and layout”, aims to transform a traditional stone fruit harvester into an IoT device, a connected, sustainable and efficient piece of equipment that allows product interaction. -client with the incorporation of enablers such as RFID tags, QR labeling, cloud/on premise data management and M2M communication among others. Objectives

The project has a triple well-differentiated technological objective. On the one hand, manufacturing a 100% electric machine that until now is powered by a conventional combustion engine, on the other hand incorporating a system for collecting, processing and analyzing productivity data in each area of the harvest, and finally having traceability. of the product. The objective of data collection is to measure the performance of the plantation at any point and to know the performance of the workers who are harvesting at any time. That is why a series of sensors installed on the harvester, a geolocation system, a communication system and protocol, and a system for data processing and analysis are needed; which will allow the creation of the performance map and real-time monitoring of the machine.

The purpose of carrying out product traceability is to automatically collect the first of the data necessary to know the circuit that the product follows from the moment of collection in the field until it reaches the consumer's table. We will carry out traceability using an RFID technology writing system and the geolocator. The objective of manufacturing a 100% electric machine is to design an electric power train system that allows for more efficient and sustainable operation in addition to providing the energy necessary to carry out the movements. peripherals reducing the consumption involved in a combustion engine.
