General Objective

The General Objective of the project is the development of software that allows the monitoring of processes related to 3D printing in agricultural machinery manufacturing companies.

The solution is divided into two parts. We believe that every objective of good software should involve optimizing production processes, making them more efficient, that is, reducing relational management costs or increasing the production and/or analysis of business information, using algorithms and artificial intelligence, to be able to make decisions in a more accurate way.

Therefore our software solution covers these two needs, first:

1. Logistics optimization of production processes. A solution to optimize printing logistics: control the queues of prints generated, control multiple machines, commissioning of available hardware, control of feeding material, monitoring of printing, control of variable costs of the piece as well as financial analysis associated with production costs.

2. Analysis of impression databases and application of artificial intelligence. The other solution is directly applied to the G-Code file, optimizing the printing time, the material and the material used for the piece in question.

Specific objectives

  • Define appropriate design variables and study their influence on the overall performance of the software
  • Define reference variables that allow describing and characterizing the software and its performance, to compare its application versus different sectors
  • Design a simple, versatile system, trying to reduce costs as much as possible in its design and operation, but without detriment to good operation.
