Study: The digitalization of the agricultural sector of Lleida

The objective of the study was to carry out an x-ray of Lleida's agriculture to obtain a broad image of the importance of this sector, analyze the trends that agriculture follows and analyze the main technologies that currently exist to apply within agriculture. , and emphasize the importance of the transition towards a highly technical and digital agriculture in order to be able to cope in the future with the high demand for food by the world population.

On the other hand, the main technologies that currently exist to apply to agriculture and the improvement in efficiency and productivity that they bring to the sector have been analyzed, and also an identification of the main agents that the farmer may need to implement the technologies within their crops.

Finally, one of the objectives of this study is to be able to generate ideas for innovative, cross-sectoral and collaborative projects and establish links at the territorial level to increase the participation of companies in the agri-food sector in European, state and regional funding calls that facilitate the incorporation of digital technologies to the agri-food sector.
