The general objective of the project, based on the design and manufacture of the prototype of a multifunctional electric vehicle powered by electrical energy, is to carry out an analysis, identification and adaptation of robotics and vision technology that allows converting this vehicle into a labor system, capable of move autonomously through the field, detect the presence of workers and adapt to their movements and actions.
RIS3CAT is the research and innovation strategy for intelligent specialization in Catalonia approved by the Government on February 4, 2014.
The RIS3CAT is part of the Catalonia 2020 strategy (ECAT 2020), as the Government's roadmap to reactivate the economy and reorient the productive sector towards a smarter, more sustainable and more inclusive economic model.
It is structured into four axes of action that derive from the four strategic objectives and that allow focusing to be combined with transversality:
Agri-food industry
Agri-food industry and other links in the value chain such as primary sectors, large-scale distribution, packaging and packaging industries, food machinery, additives and raw materials, gastronomy and catering.
Chemical, energy and resources industries
Management activities for energy, natural and waste resources. Particularly in activities with greater added value and innovative content such as energy efficiency, cogeneration, home automation, renewable energies, organic chemistry and nuclear fusion.
Industrial systems
Activities whose generic skill is the management and development of efficient industrial systems (chemistry, machinery and equipment; robotics; computer, electronic and optical products, and electrical material and equipment). Activities related to process engineering and advanced manufacturing are especially included.
Design Industry
Industries that have in common a strong link with their design as a key transversal factor; textile, clothing, leather, footwear, jewelry and furniture.
Sustainable mobility industries
Automotive sector and related activities, but also has implications in electrochemistry, energy, electronics, nanomaterials, Internet, mobile telephony, etc.
Healthcare and life sciences industries
Fine chemicals, pharmaceutical preparations, universities, science/technology parks, research centers, medical technology industry, hospital and clinics, insurance and related services.
Cultural and Experience-based Industries
Creative and cultural industries (publishing, graphic arts, multimedia, audiovisual, production, audio and video, crafts) and key services in Catalonia such as tourism and sports.
The RIS3CAT Communities are voluntary groups of companies and agents of the R&D and Innovation system that promote R&D and Innovation plans for economic transformation in leading sectoral areas.
The University of Lleida, in collaboration with several Catalan Universities, companies in the AGRO sector, and the FEMAC Cluster, lead an initiative of a Community of Food Production Technologies – COTPA
The vision of the Community of Agri-Food Production Technologies (COTPA) is to lead innovation in the sector of agri-food production technologies in Catalonia to achieve better performance and sustainability of production processes in a context of activity compatible with a balanced rural development.
COTPA's mission is to innovate and incorporate transversal facilitating technologies that allow sustainable and efficient growth of the agri-food sector, contributing to innovation in the technology of agri-food production processes to make them competitive and sustainable (environmentally, socially and economically) with a special attention to the development of disruptive technologies (R&D) and their transfer to the market (D+i).
